This review with Matt Leblanc was very very well done.
I know it’s almost sacrilegious to say this, but if the BBC/Top Gear produces allow Matt to really, truly be more like this - I think it could be a great show again.
So much better than Chris Evans yelling and screaming during the entire segment.

not bad at all.

I am trying to like him. He is better than he was in the first season of the new TG - only episode I watched. But something is still missing - something is still forced and weird. Like pulling out the sandwich, that was a JC move and it just doesn’t cut it for me.

That wasn’t bad at all. It’s like everyone has forgotten that TG season 1 was pretty bad, remember Jason Dawe? Yeah me either.

Was that a cheese sandwich?

Only Tiff Needell comes close to Clarkson in my book.

I thought the exact same thing. The sandwich was obviously a JC thing and came off as awkward and forced, but overall it was pretty good. Definitely better than it was

I have to say, LeBlanc is quite good. He shows real promise.

I grew up with Friends before getting to know Top Gear so for me that felt like a Joey would rather have a sandwich that listen to the radio makes total sense kinda moment but I see the JC link as well.

I see that, but he is not Joey when he is serious.

very nice - not as good at Clarkson’s Vantage v12 yet, but still very good. I still have a hard time understanding why anybody would buy a $100,000+ super car that is effectively a robot and does everything for you.

I agree. It’s a good video and he does a good job, but something about him just isn’t selling me.
